Books!

I love a good book! Lately I've been pretty bored in the hotel. So the other day I bought a book. "While My Pretty One Sleeps" by Mary Higgins Clark. I've never read anything by her, & I heard she had some good books, so I bought it.. (& Not because of her last name, I just noticed that lol). I just started it, & I'm in the second chapter, but I read really fast when I have nothing to do, so it might only take a day or two before I'm bored again. I don't have a specific author that I like to read, so I would like your opinions. I read mostly fiction, like mystery, not too scary though! Just leave some titles for me in the comments :]

Ps. Thank you Anna for inspiring me to make this blog. I usually can't think up good books on my own, so why not ask everyone else ;]

Ashley,
That's great you are reading! There's a lot to be said for reading, but I don't say it all here! :)

Fiction...hmmm I have some that you will love:

The Robe, Atlas Shrugged, and Quo Vatis to name a few. If you are just getting started, Clark is a lovely name, and I hear she's a great writer :)

Oh - I have friends that absolutely love John Grisham novels. Maybe up your creek? Hmm... the ladies like Nicolas Sparks (yack)and Francine Rivers is an author many seem to enjoy.

OMW!!! You have to read Francine Rivers if you already haven't. She is a Christian author so they are clean. Here are some titles you have t check out: The Mark of the Lion Series, The Atonement Child, Redeeming Love, And the Shofar Blew, and The Scarlet Thread. And then after that the O'Malley series is great for mystery.

ps The O'Malley series is by Dee Henderson

1)Thanks James! I'll be sure to look those up. I like Nicolas Sparks, but they're too sad so I can only read them once & I'm done with that book forever haha.
2)Lexi, yes I DO read the Bible. I happen to be in II Coronicles :]
3)I've listened to a few Dee Hendersons on audio & I liked them, so I will definately read more of her. & The others you mentioned. Thanks Anna :]

Hey Ashley! I have never read Mary Higgins Clark but I have heard that her books are very scary! So I warned you inadvance if you end up sleeping with your light on ;)

Anna pretty much mentioned the "super good" books that I like to read. HOwever, Francine Rivers is a must!

Also, to look at Bible stories through a different light, read Francine Rivers "Unspoken" series...they are small books about Ruth, Rahab, Esther, and some other great women in the Bible. I greatly enjoyed them and they helped me understand their stories so much better! Well, I hope you are getting adjusted to Germany :) We all love and miss you!

Oh! and you HAVE to read The Mark of the Lion series!! They are amazing AND somewhat biblical! The first few chapters of the first book are history so I had a VERY hard time getting into them but keep reading....it gets better :)
