Hello everyone!

Wow. I haven't been on here in forever! I'm not so good with the whole "blogging" thing. I was surprised to see that I had so manny comments on my previous posts. I had no idea that people were interested in what I had to say...especially people that I don't even know lol. It's flattering, I guess. Well, I just wanted to do a quick post to let everyone out there know that I'm still alive! Marriage is just as wonderful as it was 4 months ago. I will try to update this whenever something exciting happens in my life...which is hardly ever LOL! Take care everyone :)

...is a wonderful thing! Well, I'm not married yet, but I just wanted to inform you all that I will be getting married on March 6th.......2010!!! Very last minute decision, but so far everything is working out. We will be getting married in California & then flying back to Misourri (woo whoo!! lol). I'm super excited...I'm counting down the days! I have 2 more weeks left at my job. That makes me pretty sad. I'm going to miss all of my kids :( But I also can't wait to start my new life, with the love of my life :]

I'm ENGAGED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We went to France for a youth conference at the beginning of November and we took a trip to Paris. We were on the top floor of the Eiffel Tower when Alex proposed! I was taken completely by surprise. EVERYONE knew months in advance, except me. Sadly, there are no pics or video of the event because it all happened so fast! I am so happy! God has truly blessed me this past year. I could never be thankful enough for all that he's given me in such a short amount of time.

Still no plans or dates yet. I'm just enjoying my time as a fiancee :] We don't even know where to get married since we aren't really "from" anywhere. He's in Missouri now with his family. His dad retired from the Army, so they had to move away. I've never been to Missouri (or "Misery" as I've heard it called so many times). I'm going to visit if he's not able to go to No Limits. Hopefully we can make it though. Anyways, here are a couple pics:

Hey everyone! Just thought I'd do a quick post...Paige keeps bugging me! LOL. Hmm not much to say. I'm still working at the CDC. I recently got promoted and am making big money! ...Not really, but I'll take what I can get. My car is doing pretty good...after a million trips to the shop. But isn't that always how it goes? Thank God I didn't have to pay for any of it. HAHA but I DID have to pay for the little accident I got in. I was pulling out of a parking lot and I hit a pole...it dented the front right side of my car and smashed my headlight. You'd think it'd only be a couple hundred bucks to fix...WRONG! I had to pay 750. Oh and did I mention those were all in EUROS?! Good thing my dad felt sorry for me and paid for 200 of it lol. Speaking of my dad, he just got deployed for 4 months to Iraq. Please keep him in your prayers. Church is going good...I play piano for our Sunday school service. God is so good! I never in a million years thought I'd be where I am today...doing what I'm doing. I feel so blessed to be living here...experiencing first hand all of God's blessings. I have no complaints! I know God has a purpose for everything He does so I'm through worrying. Even though my Alex, and my Paige, and my Robbie are leaving me in November to go to MISERY! I'm soo sad! But not really........ just because of what I know ;] The 15th will be 6 WONDERFUL months for me & my loooove. And Friday (tomorrow) is my WUSSELL's (Paige's) 18th birthday!! Someone asked her what the best thing was that God has given her besides the Holy Ghost...and she said ME! Hahaha idk why she said that, but she is soo sweet. HAPPY BIRTHDAY my Paigey and I hope you like this post I did JUST FOR YOU! Maybe we can go get some eaglessss eggsss, becos I know wheres to find dem (inside joke lol). K byee!

I just got back from an awesome time in California. No Limits 09 was amazing! I can't even begin to name all of the things God has done for me in that small amount of time. My life is completely changed & it feels good. I know God has a purpose for me & I have been putting it off for too long. This year I finally decided to change things. I told the devil "No more". No more messing with me, my family, & my life. & A lot has happened since then (& I'm sure EVERYONE knows EVERYTHING about EVERYTHING via Facebook), but it's not about what I want, but about what GOD wants for me. It's been time after time, year after year, for me to get this. & Now that I got it, I am not letting go for anything. God has us here in Germany for a reason, & I'm back here excited to see the revival that's about to break loose. So continue to keep us in your prayers & if you ever want to visit then let us know :)

Piano!

I played the piano for our song service today! Paige was on the organ. I was super nervous, but I think I did pretty good. I'm starting to learn a little bit just by watching. My friend is teaching me some songs, but I only know most of them from memory. I'm starting to read notes, but I only know a few! Just pray for me because I might start playing on Sundays now.

Wow, I've been slacking when it comes to this blog. Here are a few updates since my last post:

-Only spent 40 of the 200 euro I brought to Czech.
-Still recovering from pink eye.
-I've been putting in major overtime to make up for all the money I spent on presents (& the $100 on myself at Forever 21...yikes!)
-I'm going to talk to my trainer about me possibly taking a class in Early Childhood Development (the CDC will pay tuition & a co-worker said he would let me borrow his books!)
-I'm really excited for my visit to Cali (even if it is at the end of February, ha!)
-Going downtown on Saturday to spend the rest of my euro :)
-I made 3 pies today lol...but they were those easy ones that you make with pudding.
-Our Christmas program is on Sunday & I have to sing "The Night That Christ Was Born" by Kirk Franklin with my sisters :/
-Courtney's 17th birthday was yesterday!
-I've decided that I have too much stuff! Clothes, shoes, purses...etc.
-I despise the weather here! I've slipped at least 5 times already.

Some of the kids in my class left their pumpkins & we weren't allowed to keep them in the CDC because we have an inspector coming on Tuesday, so I had to take them home. I got a pumpkin carving kit from the Commissary & here's what I created:

So I stayed away from the internet (even the computer) for a week, & it wasn't even that bad! I had more time to do things that really needed to be done (& that does not include ONLINE SHOPPING). I've been reading my bible, & as of right now I am in Matthew 25...still following the bible reading list from TRC :]

We are having a youth service tomorrow with the church in Mannheim. & I was asked to lead the song service. Can you believe that?! I'm a little nervous, actually very scared (lol) even though it won't be that many people. & I only had about a weeks notice. How does James (Wilder) do it? Geezzzzz. Not to mention I've never done anything like this before. It might not seem like a big deal to everyone else, but for a girl who only sings in the shower, & in church (as part of the congregation), it's pretty intimidating. So pray that tomorrow I won't make everyone's ears bleed.

Just keep praying, & believing...

Wow, so everyone wants to be teen parents these days!
It's almost like they're getting preggers on purpose...and a lot of them are. For whatever reason, I have no idea. Which means we need to pray for OUR generation now more than ever. It has become so twisted. There aren't enough young people that are on fire for God, too many of them let others tell them how to live their life, instead of STANDING UP FOR THEMSELVES. They use the excuse that "I chose this myself, I know what I'm doing." Well obviously not if you started going that way after hanging out with a certain crowd. It makes me sad that we as Christians are supposed to be influencing the world, not letting it influence us. Yea, it's hard because we live in it, but we are not OF it. To me, it is weakness if you let someone else pressure you into doing something you know you shouldn't. You should be a LEADER, not a follower. Your "friend" doesn't care about you at all. A real friend would never ask you to do something that will bring you down. There are so many people that I am praying hard for. Sometimes I don't want to, because their actions annoy me. But I know I have to. Not just for them to see the light, but for something to happen for them to see the light. A little bump in the right direction. & I'm not just talking about backsliders, I'm talking about young people within the church. They aren't serious enough. I'm not saying I'm perfect, Lord knows I need all the prayer I can get... & that's why I'm posting all of this. I know what I've been through, & I'm still going through...even now. But I don't mind the struggles. Without struggles, God can't work in us. In order for a miracle to happen, bad things must happen first. & God wants to bless us, but we don't believe we deserve it. & No one does, but yet there He is, BLESSING. We need to believe that He wants to bless us. & God cannot bless us beyond our ability to believe. Ohh Lord I can go on forever. Just be keeping me, & Germany in your prayers. God is doing marvelous things in our church, & I can't wait to see what He has in store!

Where Will You Turn?

You make one wrong decision that may change your life.

It's not the about decisions you've made, but what you do AFTER, & what you turn to. Are you going to turn to things of this world for a season of comfort, or are you going to get on your knees & turn to God?

It's funny how the devil can take something so small & put a microscope on it. It looks like the biggest log, when in reality, it's the smallest splinter. This week has been tough, & I was pretty discouraged. Then Bro. Wilkins preached last night & his message title was "Where Will You Turn?". David ordered that Joab be killed, & Joab ran for his life. He went into the house of God & grabbed the horns of the altar. I know that no matter what I do, I would rather die at the altar, than in the world.

Just an afterthought-
Don't you just love when something happens during the week that can get your spirit down, but when you go to church, the message is exactly what you need? I notice that whenever I miss church, something great happens. So next time you feel like missing church because you're tired after work, or don't "feel well", just know that you could be missing the very answer to your prayers. Church is 2 times a week, & for a couple hours at the most. How hard is it to just GO? Most of you already know this, but for me, it has been a learning experience.

Euro Disney in Paris, France!

Last weekend we went to Euro Disney with our church & the German church in Mannheim. We left Early Saturday morning at 330am & spent the whole day there. We left at 11pm, & got home by 530am. Then I slept for a couple hours & got up for church. Talk about a crazy, tiring weekend! I had a lot of fun though, & here are some pics that I took:

Hey everyone! I finally have time to do a real post. Well, I went to Czech & Prague this weekend. The bus left at 1am on Saturday & got to Czech around 9am. We shopped for a little bit & I bought soo many purses (brand name too!). I got some good deals because it was all bargain shopping. Everytime you would walk by a shop, the people would call out "Hello my friend, come, come!" Then you would look around & they would secretly tell you that they had Dolce & Gabanna, Louis Vuitton, & all these other name brands. If you wanted it, they would take you around back to this supply closet where they had the stash. It was pretty funny. This one guy was carrying around a bag full of name brand watches & sunglasses & I got a niiice pair. Well after that, we got back on the bus & left for Prague at 130pm. We got there at 430, & walked around until 9. We got back to the base at 5am on Sunday. I slept for a couple hours then got up & went to church. I am soo tired! But I had a lot of fun. Anyways, here are the pics from Prague.

The Smart Car

The Smart Car is a tiny subcompact vehicle, only about 9 feet long and 5 feet wide. The 3-cylinder engine has fantastic fuel consumption, 42 miles per gallon, and has a top speed of 90 mph. And while it is tiny - one feels as though you can lift it yourself - it is, in fact, surprisingly roomy for something that size. Though granted, your main concern would likely be what happens in the event of a crash. According to the company, the Smart Car gets a 4 star-crash rating, surprisingly good for a vehicle of its size. The Smart Car will cost between $11,000 to $17,000. It is available in three different models, including a gorgeous little convertible.

We went on a boat on the Rhine river, then got off at a stop & hiked up to a castle & toured it. It was pretty fun. I took pics, but I will upload those later :)

It's been a looong day. I started working at the CDC. The whole day was spent making observations & taking notes. I had 4 rooms that I visited, & each room had a certain age group from infants to preschool age. It wasn't too bad, but I was working from 830am to about 515pm. I guess that's not too bad for most of you working people out there, but I'm used to sleeping in. I'm glad I'm working now. & Maybe my working will earn me a trip to California...hopefully by No Limits time. Well that's it for now. I put a video together from Memorial Day when we went to that castle, but I can't upload it now. Soon though ;)

I started my job on Wednesday! It was just a training class, but I still get paid for it. I start at the CDC on Tuesday, so I'm excited. Besides work, I've been fixing up my room. Sonny For Rent :(

This is my cat Sonny. We left him with the Richardsons. I miss him soo much! I was never much of a cat person, but I liked him. He was part Siamese so he was pretty snobby. I don't know what his other half was, but it made him fat haha. I remember how he would always come to the door when we got home from church, & then roll over when we walked in. I also remember how he would wait for me to sit or lay down on this one couch we had, & then he would jump on me & sometimes we would fall asleep.
As you all may know, the Richardsons have MOVED. & I heard that they aren't allowed to have pets in their house. I do not want them to have to get rid of Sonny, because they were only keeping him until we got back, but I don't want them to get in trouble. So if anyone likes cats, then please take him! It won't be forever, just until we move back. Another important thing, he is FIXED & DECLAWED! Also literbox trained. So you don't have to worry about him scratching up your furniture, or going on the rug. But that does mean he is an inside cat, so don't let him out. Other then that, all he needs is food & water. He doesn't really play with toys. But he likes those little balls with bells in them, hair ties, & ice. & To call him for food, you just start meowing...like "moww moww", or "mom", but that's only for wet food. & He sleeps wherever, so no need to get him a bed. He likes to be the center of attention, & he doesn't like it when you whistle...it hurts his ears. But if you need him to come, then you can do it, but not all the time.
If anyone's interested, then just tell Sis. Leigh I guess... & Remember, you would only have to keep him until we come back. Please consider adopting him & we will love you forever!

So, I got the job! Just filling out the necessary paperwork before I can get started. My mom applied for the same job too & got it, so double YAY!

I had a job interview at the CDC (Child Development Center) today! I think it went pretty well. Now I just have to wait for a call for a second interview. So just pray! Maybe even add 10 extra minutes to your daily prayer for me haha.

Well, not really. It just makes me mad that I'm in the cold library AGAIN, when I could be in my nice warm house using the internet. & The fact that our furniture isn't here doesn't make it any better. I'm stuck with sleeping on a hard, twin-sized, loaner-furniture bed for who knows how long. & On top of that, there is no water pressure upstairs, so I'm pretty much showering under a trickle of water. HAHA that made me laugh. Ohh well, at least I have a pretty view to look at everyday! & I know my furniture will get here one of these days. ANNND, I did get the rest of my clothes, & shoes...& purses. I just realized how many clothes...& shoes...& purses I have. My shoes ALONE came in their own box, & not one of those small boxes, one of the big ones. & My purses had their own box, & my clothes had their own box...es. I didn't realize how much I had until I was moved to Germany where there are wardrobes instead of closets. & I thought I was cramming for space then. That's why I plan ahead :] Of course I chose the downstairs room, which happens to be the only room with a walk in closet. HAHA! But seriously people, be thankful for your closets, even if they do seem small. Or maybe, like me, you just have too much stuff. I guess I always thought, going to the Rock Church especially, that I always had to have a different outfit for everyday of the month! But now I know, it's OKAY to wear the same skirt in the same week, or the same outfit to church next month...well idk about that last one, but you get what I'm saying ;)

Hey everyone! I'm at the library right now. We just moved into our house yesterday & we don't get internet until Friday. So I guess my new hangout for the week is here lol. But that also gives me an opportunity to get those books :] Anyways, just thought I'd post since I haven't in a while. Miss & love you all!

I just remembered... Who is caught up on their bible reading? I AM! I'm still faithfully using the chart from TRC, & I am proud to say that I am starting II Coronicles. I think I may even be ahead by a week or two, which is even better! Reading the Bible is so much fun. But I have a confession to make... I'm reading the Message...only because I've never actually gotten through the whole Bible, so instead of trying to figure my way through the 'thous' & 'arts', I just read the Message version. This is only for THIS YEAR. Then next year when I read the KJV, I'll understand it better. & I know that the Message probably isn't dead-on track in some places, but other then that, it helps a lot. I'm excited that I am finally making the committment to READ MY BIBLE this year. I know it probably should have been done years ago, but hey, it's never too late to start :]

I love a good book! Lately I've been pretty bored in the hotel. So the other day I bought a book. "While My Pretty One Sleeps" by Mary Higgins Clark. I've never read anything by her, & I heard she had some good books, so I bought it.. (& Not because of her last name, I just noticed that lol). I just started it, & I'm in the second chapter, but I read really fast when I have nothing to do, so it might only take a day or two before I'm bored again. I don't have a specific author that I like to read, so I would like your opinions. I read mostly fiction, like mystery, not too scary though! Just leave some titles for me in the comments :]

My little Joey Fanoey!

I know most of you might have heard about my little "bundle of joy", but now you get to see her! This is my little Joey Fanoey! Okay, I know what most of you are thinking (all you GIRLS, anyways) - ew. But she is the cutest little rat ever. Yes, Joey is a girl. When I first got her I thought she was a boy, so I named her Joey. & After I found out, I just never changed it. I didn't name her after anyone special, in case anyone was wondering. I never had a dog growing up, so Joey was my own little pet. I even trained her myself. Everytime she hears her bag of "Joey snacks" (as I like to call them), she comes running from wherever she is because she knows what she's getting. & She is also housetrained...er, cagetrained? Idk. She has 2 brothers, Jensen & Calvin, that belonged to my sisters. They were gross, I'm not even gonna lie. But aren't all boys? ;] I had to take her with me when we moved from NM to Cali, but sadly, she couldn't come to Germany. So as you might have guessed, Robert is taking care of her for me. Just thought I'd share a random part of my crazy little life with you all. Next time you see Robert, ask him... "So how's Joey Fanoey?" :]

Have been horrible! I've been sick & in bed for the last 2 days. My dad finally took me to the ER this morning because my throat was killing me. We thought it might be strep or something, but it turns out I only have this viral thing that has been going around. So now I have to take nasty grape flavored Dimetapp every 6 hours. What a pain. Hopefully this clears up soon. I hate being sick. & Hopefully we get settled in soon so I have something more interesting to blog about...

I'm still trying to figure all this out. I didn't realize how many people had blogs, so hopefully I can find everyone. So just bear with me. Germany is getting better little by little. I still miss everyone, but it's easier to deal with now. I'm just ready to move into my house! Hotels are a pain. We've eaten out A LOT in the past couple weeks, and It's getting old. But thankfully we move in our house on May 5th, so I'm pretty excited. I applied for a job here, at the Child Development Center, so we'll see how that goes. Just be praying! I could use the money. Especially here...the euros are crazy! Well I guess that's all for now :]

We're finally in Germany! It's really cold & rainy here, but hopefully it gets warmer. We are still in a hotel, but we found a house offbase. It's really big & pretty, with a nice view. Here are a few pics.
